I strongly condemn “indiscriminate” rocket fire from the Gaza Strip into Israel, and at the same time, I condemn Israel’s”Indiscriminate shooting of rockets against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip. The growing number of civilian casualties caused by Israeli retaliatory fire is just not acceptable.The safety and security of all civilians must be of paramount importance. I call for an immediate cessation of military operations and urge the leaders of Israelis and the Palestinians to agree on immediate cease-fire and end the attacks in order to protect the innocent and work towards a peaceful resolution.All parties concerned needs to take lessons from the past and act with “restraint and common sense” to prevent an escalation of violence which will directly lead the region to more destruction and instability” and impact everyone one in the world.
