#askmani I had the honor of being present at the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, alongside esteemed dignitaries, including the newly appointed Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr. Anwar H. Al Agha, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato’ Hamzah Zainudin, and Chairman of Kelab Putera 1Malaysia, Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahman. The gathering was held as a “Moment of Solidarity with the People of Palestine”—an occasion to stand together in support of peace, dignity, and humanity.
Manivannan Rethinam – Chairman, Majlis Gagasan Malaysia
As Chairman of Majlis Gagasan Malaysia, I take this opportunity to reaffirm my unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their ongoing struggle for a peaceful and secure future. The escalating violence and the mounting civilian casualties resulting from Israeli retaliatory fire are deeply concerning and utterly unacceptable. The safety and well-being of innocent civilians must always be a priority, and any action that endangers their lives cannot be justified.
I strongly urge for an immediate ceasefire and a definitive end to hostilities. It is imperative that all parties involved prioritize diplomatic dialogue over violence. Peace cannot be achieved through aggression but through meaningful engagement and mutual respect.
As Malaysians, we have a responsibility to stand united in calling for peace and justice. Let us stand up, speak out, and unite in solidarity with the people of Palestine, advocating for a future where peace prevails over conflict, and humanity triumphs over hatred.
Together, we can make a difference by raising our voices for those who are unheard and by striving for a world where compassion and empathy lead the way.
In solidarity,
Manivannan Rethinam
Chairman, Majlis Gagasan Malaysia
